The Technological Pole for the Environment aims to become a point of reference for enterprises, institutions and for all public and private entities which aim to develop innovative enterprises having no impact on the environment, on the basis of sustainable development, providing an efficient system of relations and synergies to the different entities and to the territory.The PTA, representing an integrated production district aimed at being acknowledged as a highly technological district,  is intended to:

• implement a territorial network of communication between the leading public and private structures, carrying out studies and research on the environment;
• foster the co-operation between the makers of the innovation process, helping their consolidation and the constitution of a real territorial sector of innovation in the environmental field;
• implement a real territorial sector of innovation in the environmental field;
• foster co-operation among the partners admitted within the Pta,  for the development of special projects, projects of industrial research, training programs and the provision of integrated services;
• foster the development and experimentation of modern technologies for the management, monitoring and protection of the territory;
• create skilled and un-skilled employment and create new specialized professional figures;
• attract public and private investors, whose requirements for competence and high technology are met by the Pole;
• represent a point of reference for the diffusion of technological and scientific innovations among the enterprises granted a space within the Pole.
